These items are perfect for individually serving fresh fruit salad or yoga parfait etc when you are out or feeding a crowd. Simply put a fork or spoon in the cup, fill it and cover it with the handle that sticks out of the straw hole in the lid, and you're done. The mugs are quite durable and can be washed and reused. I will try to wash one in the dishwasher to test, although they don't say they are dishwasher safe. I've washed similar containers that came out fine, but the lids were usually warped. I would certainly buy them again.
