I've had a circle for about a week now. I bought it because I wanted some peace of mind when my kids spend so many hours on the internet every day. Safety comes first, of course, but of course time control is important, and they also spend way too many hours playing ROBLOX or watching YouTube. create a device and link it to my account. Configuration: I created profiles for my children and set them as "Children" in the app, which seems to be the most restrictive and includes "SafeSearch" by default. After that I set time limits for different games/applications. It was obvious that with this setup they weren't able to access some of the default safe sites, so I had to manually add Google Class, Google Docs, and other educational sites as allowed or unmanaged so they could join all of theirs school activities. / Events. It took several days to ensure that all the websites that were really needed were available. It's not hard, but remember that kids may NOT be happy on the first day or so. The time limits on apps/games like ROBLOX are kind of an eye opener, my kids wasted a generous amount of time allotted to them three hours earlier. 11 p.m., which made her seriously unhappy. It's also obvious that if you block a game, kids will find another website, game or video, and if you block everything, they'll end up watching TV (Covid sux!). It's nice to be able to pause internet access for a child or for everyone. when you need her attention, for example when it's time for dinner (Dinner is ready! Dinner is ready! Dinner is ready!. Okay, let's turn off the internet). I haven't noticed any performance/slowdown issues since installing the device and I really feel like I have peace of mind knowing it's more secure. The only negative is that I wish the subscription fee was lower. I ended up buying a lifetime subscription as I'm sure I'll be using it for a good few years which ends up being cheaper than year after year. Perfomance.
