Review on 17302 Trunnion Weight Distribution Hitch by Greg Sullivan

I bought this hitch assembly because my truck had a Curt hitch installed and I thought it would be best to use the same brand for the hitch and weight distribution unit on mine to use caravans (also known as "campers"). My camper is small, total weight is 5500# and (I think) the drawbar is about 600#. The hitch comes disassembled, which isn't much of a surprise, and it wasn't too bad putting it together if you're a bit mechanically inclined. . The product was not packaged in a different shipping box and the product box itself essentially fell apart during shipping and there were multiple holes in the box that were held together with plastic tape around the box. In fact, I was missing a screw or two and had to find a few to complete the installation. The hitch works well and is easy to connect to the trailer when everything is assembled. Overall it has held up well. thousand miles and I'm sure it will last for many thousands more.
