I usually use a dm73 meter that looks like this but is sold under different names. The only thing that makes this gauge both good and possibly bad is that I'm concerned about the tiny wire it has. The wire is small enough that it has a loop holder for it on the back (instead of wrapping it around the gauge like on the dm73), this prevents the wire from fraying and nobody likes a frayed wire when testing high voltage. The reason I say this could be bad is because the wire is so small it seems like it breaks very easily. only time can tell. On the positive side, the display is VERY clear, much nicer than the dm73. Also, the yellow cap on the end of the dipstick is in the way, I'm sure I'll tear that off soon. I can imagine it there to protect someone's shirt pocket or something.
