Check. (3) The gears on the grinding jaws are made of metal. (4) The drive gears that transfer power from the motor to the chopping jaws are made of plastic. The polymer is soft enough that when the grinding jaws become jammed, the polymer gears simply pull their teeth off their metal counterparts. Instant and permanent failure, as well as three Phillips screws that appear to be screwed into superglue. The neophyte cannot reach the parts to physically repair them. Immediate failure and PLANNED obsolescence. Technique 101 mistake, not to mention common sense. It's just NOT SAFE to drive metal gears with a polymer gear drive. What is it, said Nader, "not safe at any speed"? Yes, I know how he felt. SAD SAD Sad - please don't fall into the same trap as me.
