This is a GREAT microphone! He does what he has to do. There is NO volume control (because it was created in Windows 10) so you do NOT need it. HOWEVER, it annoys me when I see reviews from people who don't read the instructions. .HERE ARE SOME TIPS: Installing Windows 10 is easy: Plug it into a USB port. (No drivers required.) ALL CONTROLS IN WINDOWS 10! Go to the sound settings. Make sure the Jounivo microphone is selected. Click "Device properties" and "Advanced device properties" to customize the settings to your liking. AGC use "On" for BEST VOLUME performance (than manual volume settings). Once setup is complete, ANY APP you have on Windows 10 can now use the microphone. A NOTICE. You may need to go to your privacy settings and turn on your mic for your app! If you don't know how to complete these required setup tasks, your microphone may not be working. SOME APPS allow you to choose the input device (microphone) you want to use. You have to do it! I hope this helps some of you reading reviews accusing the mic of "user ignorance". JCG
