Review on Maison Ceilings 1993 Line Art by Jim Cronin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very fragile, hard to obtain Successful delivery

Good luck getting 8 tiles intact! On my first order, 3 tiles were damaged, 2 in the middle of the tile. One of them was on top so it could be damaged, but the other was buried inside. The packaging box showed signs of damage and I remember the plastic bag the tiles came in was already open so I think they repackaged the damaged tiles and sent them back hoping someone kept them would. This isn't a bad strategy, though: you might need 6, for example, or you can cut off the damaged area. However I needed them all intact so after the replacement order arrived I sent them back with all 8 recessed tiles, got my money back and am now looking for an alternative solution. As for the product, I think they might have worked. Be ready to choke when you get them and realize you've just spent over $40 for 8 large, featherweight, paper plate-thick styrofoam tiles with a simple pattern. A lot of reviewers say they look good on their own, but I wanted to color them to give them a shine and an extra layer of protection. They're expensive for what they are (although I bet part of the price includes funding a lot of returns) but they seem like a viable solution IF you take some serious time to install them properly.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
