great value for money - cabin air filter

I installed this twice on my VW Touareg. Once 9 months ago and again recently. I found the surprisingly old filter to be quite dirty and definitely needed replacing. There was some sand on it, but mostly it was just darkened with gray dust. It was very easy to install but I needed a youtube video to figure out how. You'll need Torx T5 for a few screws and you'll need to know how to unclip the clips that hold everything together. Having removed the VW factory OEM filter on the first filter replacement, I can say that this aftermarket filter is similar in quality and design. I've found that it DOES NOT matter if it's OEM or aftermarket, you REPLACE it. This filter can be easy to miss when changing your oil at an independent shop, but rest assured that doing it yourself is quick and easy and will save you a lot of money. I've seen dealers advertise a $99 filter replacement, which is ridiculous for a $12 part and such a 10 minute job. Much luck.
