Review on 🚚 Winunite 2015-2021 F150 Tailgate Assist Shock: Effortless Truck Lift & Easy Down! by Matthew Miles

My friend ordered one of these and it worked very well so I ordered one. Was impressed with everything that came with it including the large T50 torx wrench, socket wrench and all the necessary parts. Comes with pink Loctite but instructions don't say where to use it. There is also a washing machine, which is not mentioned anywhere. Cons: I couldn't lengthen the shock for installation. It ended up being an inch or two and I was able to almost completely close the tailgate to rest it on the panel. After that, the tailgate opened in more than a minute. I tried to activate it several times thinking it must be hacked. The third time it stopped opening. It opened about 3 inches, which was enough to remove the hit from the top plate. Removed from the truck. I give 2 stars for having all the necessary tools. The quality isn't quite there, the welds that attach the balls to the plates are incomplete and over time the weight of the tailgate is likely to shear them off. A defective damper.
