Review on ECOGARD XA10426 Premium Engine Air Filter: Perfect Fit for Hyundai Sonata & Tucson Models 2015-2021 by Lucas Hale

In the photos to the left is an old 2018 with side protrusions that fit perfectly. The one on the right is the one I just received. It's missing lugs, it doesn't have a year and the rubber is a bit thicker which makes it harder to slip. It is assumed that both products are the same product. I ordered one last year. It was dated 2018, had cleats on the side, perfect for my 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport. No complaints. I ordered the same this year but what I got was different. Missing protrusions on the side. The rubber seal seems to be a bit thicker. This one didn't fit my car - it stuck out about 1/4 inch. I had to gently push him side to side until he was all the way in. The dimensions seem the same, the rubber seems a bit bigger, I think I'll keep it since there are no cleats. Apparently the manufacturer saved a little on the costs. I have a feeling this is cheating. If a product has changed, it must be sold under a new listing that clearly confirms that there are no more tabs. Next time I'll use a different product. I'll happily pay another $1 for the tabbed version, which is perfect. I don't want to damage my car just so the manufacturer can save $1.
