Had a Panasonic of the same model and appreciated the quality. Since I was already familiar with the menu screens and functions, there is no learning curve. For those who need a digital tuner, don't have a TiVo subscription and prefer easy navigation through DVR-recorded content, this is a high-end model. Digital signals can be recorded in 5 different quality modes and HD signals are of course upconverted (True HD requires 6 gigabytes for 1 hour recording and DVDs are limited to 4.7 gigabytes). This new model is available from HH Gregg for $300. Amazing savings on authorized factory remanufactured models.
