These are #11 needles I would say good for beginners. That's why I bought them, however I've since found out that I'm a very tight knitter and therefore prefer metal needles as the yarn slips off more easily. If you are a tight knitter I do not recommend them. If you are a beginner and are looking for an easy grip needle to keep yarn in place, then this is a great option. They are a bit short and I usually do bigger projects using thick yarn so I don't like the length but I think each needle has a purpose.
