update. January 2021. One of the step heaters stopped working. It continues to send power to the other two stage heaters. I'm a little disappointed that it lasted less than two seasons. These stair heaters have worked really well for us on some new wood steps. Since our garage is not attached we use the side steps to come and go and the new wood was very slippery when wet/frozen. I plugged it into an outdoor WiFi outlet and was able to turn it on and off with both Alexa and my phone (especially handy when I'm returning from a trip in a snowstorm).
