Went dead after two summers of light use

I bought two Waitley BL-1850B 5.0 AH batteries for my Makita tools in late May 2020. They worked in Summer 2020 and 2021. Very light use. Less than 10 uses each. I charged them 100% and left them next to the charger in July 2021. I needed to blow some leaves in November 2021 and neither would charge. both showed faults. I will have to throw them away. The original Makita 4.0 AH battery is going strong. no deterioration. I am very disappointed.

Lightweight design: The BL1850B-2 batteries are lightweight, making them easy to carry around and use on the job

Inconsistent performance in colder climates
