To all first-year teachers: A good electric sharpener is one of the best investments you can make. This one is a bit more expensive, but much quieter and faster than the regular ones. An accurate sharpener one grade below is fine too, but the benefit of being able to accommodate pencil sizes is a big plus for lower grades.
