Review on Acer XV273K Pbmiipphzx: Ultra HD 4K Gaming Monitor with DisplayHDR400, 144Hz & Built-In Speakers by Charles Wijaya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good monitor, no backlight issues or stuck pixels.

This is a great monitor, probably the best I've ever had. I like the variety of connectivity options and find I need each one (two DP ports for my desktop and work laptop, two HDMI ports for my Switch and PS4). I wish it had USB-C, but we can't have everything. 4k is of course amazing. Being able to play games at 120Hz on my PC is also great. I may need to upgrade my graphics card to take advantage of this. The Ole 1060 isn't really capable of rendering 1440p at high refresh rates. But the beauty of a G-Sync monitor like this is that even if you can't support 120fps, it still looks great and jumps between 60 and 120 thanks to variable refresh rate support. I'm also glad I have an adaptive sync monitor instead of G-sync so I can get adaptive support with the PS5 when it comes out. One thing I didn't want to bother with before, but I found that I really like the shroud that comes with the device. It's very well designed. It has black felt on the inside to avoid annoying reflections. It protects the monitor well from glare and also provides a good privacy screen from anything distracting behind the monitor. The stand is also very good. You can run wires under and through them, which is great. I didn't have any issues with glare or stuck pixels like some of the other reviews mentioned. Overall I think this is the best monitor you can buy for 4k 120hz. I could wish for a monitor that supports VRR and HDR at the same time, but as of June 2020 there is nothing on the market that can combine 4k + VRR + 120Hz + HDR. I'm sure they will show up in a year or two, but for now this is your best bet.
