So I decided to give magnet fishing a try and after seeing this and other items I settled on this one. Well, firstly (not that important) the gloves fall apart after a few attempts to tug on the rope. Get a good pair as they won't do much for you. Second, the fasteners at the end of the rope aren't that big. Not sure if mine was just broken, but on the first day I got caught on something heavy and suddenly the clasp broke. The object is gone, the magnet is gone, and I'm just holding the rope. On the plus side, next Halloween I can use a rope and grappling hook when going out as Batman, but my magnet fishing days seem to be over (for now).
