Review on Reversible Cherry Wood Edge Grain Cutting Board By John Boos - 20" X 15" X 1.5 by Matthew Shankar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice, solid and large cutting board

If you are after a large, but still functional cutting board definitely check this one out. When I say functional I mean still light enough to move easily and clean, but not so heavy and large that it needs to stay in one spot for the rest of it's life.Make sure you grab the mystery oil and board cream with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FHF7TY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1I'm sure you could use any oils, but I found this pack to come with it useful. On the board itself, I use very sharp knives and my concern is always a two way street - I want a board that's *just* hard enough that it wont catch and chip a blade, but not so soft that just normal use completely destroys the surface. This board is right in the middle there. Very happy with it.Aesthetically, sure it's not a custom end-grain butchers block, but the wood used is still nice on the eye, and it looks good enough to leave it out on the counter without looking like it doesn't belong there. The cutting area is *big* which is perfect. You can definitely prep a dinner for two on the one board without needing to shift all of your ingredients around.I've not experienced any warping or swelling, but I'm honestly not expecting it either. I'll update the review if this changes.
