We have two of these and transport our bikes in our Tacoma while constantly touring in our RV (1 year+ so far). Of course we transport our bikes with them A LOT. You hold tight, we have no problem moving or tipping the bikes. We put foam pads between bikes and bindings to prevent scratches. They're great for us, inexpensive in the world of bike racks, and easy to use. We attach our bikes to the truck's D-rings as the trunk can be easily removed from the truck. Locking a bike rack doesn't help in terms of security. All in all we love them and it suits our needs perfectly! The company also has great customer service if you ever need parts. We sold our old truck without removing the part that goes in the canal and we got new ones from the company without buying a new frame. Definitely recommend it if you have a newer Tacoma.
