Summary: I ordered a MINIX NEO C-DE multiport adapter, aluminum USB Type-C hub for my wife in connection with the Buying a new laptop that requires this. The adapter was used immediately as the hard drive information had to be sent to a new laptop. The information was sent without hiccups. It also works well with other USB devices like a cooling pad. The only problem (or limitation) is that it shouldn't be left activated without being used. Even with nothing plugged into it, it gets very hot and needs to draw power. I would recommend taking it out until needed. Basically I am satisfied with this device. Pros: Good fit and finish; fast transmission speed; two ports for total high speed. Cons: Cannot be used with case/cover. Conclusion: well-made product, recommended, five stars. Consider other options if you're concerned about any of them: a) the price, b) the need for a case (in which case, get a case with a short cable).
