Performance Kit Failure - Misleading Display

Intake Kit 69-8610TTK K&NI installed a K&N Performance Intake Kit on my 2007 Camry. The instructions were only 90% correct. There is a gap in what to do with the MAF sensor connector. I later discovered this out of order in the manual, so I had to redo that part of the setup. While performance seemed to have improved over performance, there are some misleading ads. After receiving the package, I read the entire installation guide along with the power curves that came with it. I was disappointed that the guaranteed power increase didn't kick in until around 3000 - 5000 rpm. for horsepower along with gas mileage at highway speeds. (Although no fuel mileage claims have been posted anywhere) My gas mileage has actually decreased. Before installing the stock K&N Lifetime filter, I got 32mpg at high-speed driving. Once installed I'm having a hard time getting 28-30mpg. In short, misleading advertising. Nobody drives at 3000 rpm. In high gear, the 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder Camry makes 2,000 rpm at 75 mph.
