This surge protector is perfect for my purposes and I have to strongly disagree with all the negative reviews I've heard about it. It is two-pronged and made of heat-resistant materials. It's efficient and inexpensive. I've been using it for several months with no problems. I was so impressed I bought another one to have a spare on hand if needed. I use it for my desktop and printer. I would recommend this to everyone. Just make sure and read the included instructions. For that I give a thumbs up! It's great value for money, it's very easy to use and the cord is actually long enough to be useful.
