Review on 🐠 Mardel 5-in-1 Test Strips for Freshwater and Saltwater Aquariums by Christopher Foreman

I usually use a full test for every aspect of water quality, but filling bottles, adding chemicals and waiting for results is so tedious. I find these strips to be a great quick water quality test. I don't recommend using them as your only test, but they're good for an intermediate test. I compared the accuracy of the strips to the full test kit I have and found that the strips are actually slightly different in some aspects. I think these strips are excellent if you have a permanent aquarium and want to make sure the water quality hasn't changed drastically, but for accurate readings it would be wise to invest in a regular test kit of vials and chemicals. For example, the strips show my nitrates are in the 80-200 range, but two other test kits that use vial and dropper chemicals showed my nitrates were closer to 30. Also, the strips show that my pH is around 6.4-. 6.8, but my usual test kits show my pH to be around 7.2-7.6. Even with the most inaccurate readings I can see changes, for example if my pH on the strips drops to 6.4 or below the color scale I can run regular tests to know exactly what the pH of my tank is. I would recommend them for quick tests, but not as the only test. I will probably buy more.
