Bought a pair (front two of four) Rancho RS999150 RS9000XL shock absorbers for my GMC K1500 Suburban in 2007. The front wheels lasted about 80,000 miles and 7 years. Pretty good for a truck shock IMHO. One of them (front right) had a broken anchor and sounded like a loose front anti-roll bar. Chased with it for several weeks until he located the "knock" in the body of this shock absorber. Always replace shock absorbers and rotors in pairs. installed it and set it to 4 out of 9 which is good for daily 1/2 ton Suburban driving. The setting seems to affect rebound more than rebound, which is good if you need to stiffen up (especially the rear) for towing. I'm towing a 24ft trailer with a car in it (#5500 pounds) and Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks with additional SuperSprings roller saddle plates in the rear keep everything working. ** Disclaimer - I have used Bilstein on a Porsche. , BMW, Chevrolet and GMC and they are not loved because of high compression settings and non-adjustability. Replaced all Bilsteins with Konis (love them) and these ranchos b/c with ADJUSTABILITY. Hooray!
