Received this to replace a broken plastic quick coupler on my friend's Ford Escape 04. The white end sits snugly on the fuel filter and will not leak. To connect the other end to the vehicle's original fuel line, I used a Dorman 800-191 press-fit connector instead of the supplied barbed metal coupler, which cannot be used in tight spaces. Just make sure you insert the vinyl hose all the way into the 800-191 socket, almost to the middle of the fitting. With the new universal blade, the pipe can be easily cut. With a *low temperature* heat gun you can make small bends to keep them from melting. It's too easy to kink if you need to apply force to the end to insert the splice, so try to insert the tube as close to the end as possible to avoid bending.
