Fitting leaks during installation

Nylon tubing is difficult to install in its current form. very frustrating to finish the job and have a pipe leak in the fitting. Could send back and exchange. The second element did not leak.

It's great to have a product that is so easy to use.

Changed to this on my '96 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome. There was Leary, but he easily matched 5/15 for the line. It was easy to replace the 5/16 steel compression fitting with a vinyl compression fitting. It took a small ruby cutter to cut the old lines and then a heat gun to attach them. Damn easy!

Fits great but hard to come by on factory lines

Quick disconnect as good as OEM, fits like a glove with the fuel filter on a 2001 Ranger. Follow the instructions and tell them you're fishing the end of the line soak in boiling water to soften it. I used a heat gun and blasted it with heat. The included barb pushes in like hot oil, but trying to warm up a factory Ford fuel line to slip out the other end is far from easy. I did the same with the heat gun and pushed it 3/4 of the way. That was 2 months ago and hasn't dripped yet (low…

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Fuel Vent Tube

Found a vent tube that goes from the top of my fuel tank to a squirrel gnawed filler strainer. Fuel cap code on dashboard. The fitting at the vent tube outlet is easy to obtain. But after much trial and error of about an hour, I finally found the right angle to stretch my hands across the fuel tank to loosen that fitting. Hose. It is difficult to heat nylon tubing enough to tighten it and not heat it to melt the tubing. The old hose is next to the new one and using a heat gun I added matching…

Fits my 2003 Ranger 4.0L

Unlike the Revain and Dorman, two of these lines along with an 800-055 replace all three quick couplers on a 4.0L 2003 Ranger fitted to a Motorcraft FG1061- Type fitted is fuel filter. The actual builds appear to be of good quality, but as other reviews have mentioned, Dorman's final check did not find a missing notched clutch in any set. However, Revain immediately sent a replacement. The metal barb couplers included in the kit are difficult to install - it's very easy to accidentally deform…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Nice replacement fitting but kinks easily

Received this to replace a broken plastic quick coupler on my friend's Ford Escape 04. The white end sits snugly on the fuel filter and will not leak. To connect the other end to the vehicle's original fuel line, I used a Dorman 800-191 press-fit connector instead of the supplied barbed metal coupler, which cannot be used in tight spaces. Just make sure you insert the vinyl hose all the way into the 800-191 socket, almost to the middle of the fitting. With the new universal blade, the pipe can…
