Made a duct cover for the generator in the building, leading from the exhaust side of the generator motor fan to the shutters on the wall of the building. This resulted in the head blown off by the air-cooled engine going outside and not raising the building's internal temperature to a high level. Used this insulating mat to line the inside of the case. A little tricky to cut to size, it turned out the best way was to lay it out on a sheet of plywood after tracing the outline and then use a razor and ruler to make the cuts. Works great, after a few hours of running the generator I can put my hand on the surface of the sheath and it feels warm but not hot which is exactly what I was looking for.
