Additional materials are required to give it a nice finished look.

I will be using the switch for the LED strips on my father's pontoon boat. Immediately a little disappointed with the change. I didn't want to order a small electrical cabinet and fit a regular car switch as the box would most likely be a lot bulkier than it needs to be. However, I was disappointed that there is no switch foot marking on the switch itself. You might think what it should be. So get out your multimeter or turn on the metal tab once it's plugged in and hope it's not upside down. It's just uncomfortable. Also, the box it comes in needs to be drilled and some sort of cable strain relief needs to be included. I went to my local Ace hardware store and bought a small rubber grommet and made sure the wires fit through but were still taut. The socket required a 1/4 inch hole. I didn't want to drill into his vinyl and wood. This is a mid 90's pontoon and the console is made of it. The switch wouldn't go through 1/4" thick plywood anyway, and some sort of switch panel or panel would be needed. To keep it looking halfway done with this orderly switch, it would be nice to have a place for the wires to feed through some people are probably stuck in some kind of wall behind a switch, but in this case the vendor should at least have a rubber or foam backing or even some kind of backend at all. It's just sacred and open-ended. It's the little details, which make this switch good but not great.
