We have a fairly typical installation at home. TV, DirecTV, FireStick, DVD player and soundbar. Unfortunately, visitors are always intimidated by our versatile Logitech touchscreen, so I thought this might make things easier for novice users. The first impression is that this is the appearance of your standard remote control. The buttons are simple and the layout naturally feels simple. Basic and simple isn't intimidating, so that's a plus in this case. Device programming is also your standard programming. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end for me. I couldn't find the code for the FireStick, but in the end it didn't matter because including a specific display source (DVD player, DirecTv, or FireStick) along with the TV and soundbar proved cumbersome; not to mention manually switching inputs accordingly. Using our universal touchscreen remote, we simply select something to watch and as long as we point the controller at the TV, everything turns on and switches inputs. Unfortunately, this is not the case with this remote control. Ultimately, this made watching TV more difficult, so we won't be using this remote. Please note: If you have an easy setup and don't switch browser destinations often, this remote control may work for you, but for our family we switch browser devices frequently so this is NOT possible.
