I don't know why some reviews say that this is cheap plastic, I will tell you that it is not. Yes, they have some flex, but this is necessary to keep them from breaking. If they were a little heavier, that would happen. You did exactly what I wanted. They converted the 6x8, yes, 6x8 (NOT 6X9) speaker connector to a 6.5" round speaker connector. They screwed perfectly into the factory mounting holes, then tested the new 6.5" round speaker, marking the mounting points with a screwdriver, drilled, then reinstalled the speaker and finally screwed in the new speaker. It's easy to do.
