The cutter I received with this kit appears to be made out of cheap plastic. When I tried to cut with it, it kept bouncing. However, I didn't purchase a disc cutter kit, so I didn't have high expectations. Parts of the diagonal belt machine seem to be working fine. It takes a little practice before the bias binding looks nice. Having instructions and a cutting guide would be helpful, although there are plenty of videos to help. I have seen many kits available and regret buying this one. Some of the others were a bit cheaper and looked like they came in a nice case. This came in a small zip bag.
