Works great, super long connection from reversing camera!

Overall, I really like this camera setup. The screen is huge and when used with a reversing camera I think it eliminates the need for a traditional rear view mirror. The included GPS antenna works well and it's nice to be able to compare GPS speed to the car's speedometer. There's an alert feature that you can set for different speeds, so you'll be notified if you exceed that speed. If you have a driver with a leading foot, this is a good way to get them to slow down a bit. The bad news is that if you use the car on the freeway and around town, you need to choose a speed that doesn't constantly warn you or make constant changes on the freeway. The screen automatically adjusts the brightness and seems to work pretty well. I always had to run my previous mirrors on the highest level and if it was annoying at night I had to stop and switch, but then I couldn't see the screen during the day. Although there's no way to manually adjust the brightness, I had no problem being able to see the screen at all times. Installation was easy and the included cable from the mirror to the rear camera is very long. I measured it and it was about 26 feet long if I remember correctly. My truck is 17 feet from front bumper to tail and when I ran the line I had no problem getting to the mirror and still had a few feet left so it was easy for me to get in the right spots to route. With the previous camera, the line barely reached the mirror and there was irritation in several places where I drew the line, but I had no other choice. Power and GPS were also easy to install and there was enough cable to run along the poles and hide most of the wiring. The pieces of VHT (adhesive foam) tape worked pretty well, but the included screws didn't work for me as I have a steel bumper. I ended up reusing a spot that already had a camera installed and I used a self tapping screw. This, along with the VHT tape, gives me a good feeling that the camera is well secured. If your car has a plastic bumper, the included screws should work just fine. The camera on the main body can be adjusted up and down, left and right, or rotated slightly, but it doesn't slide in the body, so the mirror on the left side needs to hang down a bit. If the factory mirror is quite large, it may look odd. The quality of both cameras was excellent, and when you're not in capture mode you can scroll the camera up and down on the mirror itself for the best view. I would change, the font for the display is just white and I can't find a way to do it any other way. If there was a black outline it would be nice, or the ability to set any color you want. White is sometimes hard to see on a cloudy day, but again this is only a problem on cloudy days and if your speedometer is accurate it's not a big problem. I would like to find a way to sync content to my home server. Many years ago I had an Android based mirror that died and loved getting in range of wifi and downloading it automatically. Some sort of attachment system so I don't have to try to attach it to an existing mirror. I have some ceiling mounted units and with the mirror attached it sometimes rubs or bumps when I hit a big bump in the road but there is no problem with the factory mirror. Also my wish list is absolutely no obstacle, I will keep using this camera until something much better comes along. If I had another vehicle to mount the camera on, I would have no problem using the other.
