Coil performance is much better than factory. If it continues to work well and reliably I might give it another star, but time will tell. The reason the rating isn't higher is because the adapter "needed" to connect the coil to the input wiring doesn't match the coil connector and pins. I sent back a reel thinking it was defective. Worked for 2 minutes and the engine stopped. After installing the second, it didn't even start. It turned out that the plug does not make contact with the terminals of the coil. I figured out a way to insert the plug a little further and it worked. I tried to start it and the engine cut out after about 45 minutes of operation. After removing the spool and adapter I made my own connection using 1/4" crimp connectors and it has worked flawlessly ever since. Love the spool hate the junk adapter harness and it's about $23 !Waste of money.The photos show the coil installed and connected.The sockets are placed onto the pins in reverse order and the plugs are crimped onto the coil input wires using a slotted rubber cap to push them through the plugs to keep out water and dirt to prevent. Works great!
