Review on 📶 Hawking HAI6SIP: Boost Your Wireless Signal Range with Hi-Gain 6dB Omni-Directional Antenna by Michael Duman

I bought this antenna because I read about some of the potential benefits of a high gain antenna - I wasn't expecting miracles but in my situation this antenna is quite impressive. I have a D-Link DI-624 router and the house is two stories - the router is downstairs in the dining room and I mostly use my laptop in my upstairs room which is pretty much directly above the room that the AP is. My signal strength wasn't a problem with my original antenna but my signal quality (noise) was, I can read it separately with my card and it was awful. In terms of performance, I had a lot of "stutters" or freezes when sending - this was particularly noticeable with streaming media like Net Radio, where I was constantly getting buffer underruns because packets with errors had to be retried. In terms of signal strength, it was somewhere between good and excellent, but often fell into the "good" range. taskbar and they are always green. Also, when I open my utility and measure the noise, I get somewhere between 88% and 100% - mostly 100% (meaning absolutely minimal noise in the signal). This compared to 55% and sometimes less with the old antenna - also I see real-time transmission rates with the utility - and very often it dropped to 24 Mbit / s with the old antenna, or even 12 Mbit / s - with the new one. , usually 48 or a full 54 - some blue moon day it will fall to 36, but very rarely. (The DI-624 has a 108 Mbps extended mode, but I disabled it due to stability issues - it's the router, not the antenna). Bottom line: if you have a decent-sized two-story house and need to penetrate the ceiling, this antenna will do the job perfectly.
