Gets hot or cold like an ice pack and vibrates. Not a real massage. I returned it for the Renpho eye massager which I really like. It's basically just an eye mask. If you need acupressure and thermal massage, buy another one. This does little more than heating and cooling. The vibrations are really annoying.
