PLA is a bit awkward to use. I was able to get it up and running reliably after about 6 hours of setup. I ended up with a nozzle temp of 230°C (very high, possibly a hardware issue with my prusa i3 mk3), bed temp of 60°C, retraction of 3mm at 60mm/s, first layer speed of 10mm/s, Outer circumference 30 mm/s and filling 45 mm/s. Speed. SLOW and HOT for PLA. The good news is that it has a good finish and the red color looks great. I bought QTY5, 2kg spools in different colors from IC3D PLA and all this filament goes to prosthetic arms to distribute to kids so speed isn't critical but it's quite frustrating making all these arms got to. so slow! Their ABS printed fantastic at 90mm/s, so that's pretty amazing for PLA. For this price ($9 per kg) I CAN buy more in the future. Not sure yet. Gotta see those hands come out.
