Shorter filter, cheaper design, spend a little more and have a better filter
This is a shorter 4" filter, not a 5" filter. Disassembled to see the design. Has cheaper cardboard ends for attaching the filter material. There is an anti-drain check valve, but it's made of nitrile rubber, not silicone. It doesn't have a bypass valve to supply oil when the filter is clogged. Uses bent sheet metal to seal the filter media to the housing. The best filters use coil springs. I replaced this filter with a K&N HP 3002.
