My dog has arthritis and has trouble going up and down our wooden stairs. After thinking about and looking at different websites and styles, I settled on this one. The color goes well with the steps. It's more yellow than beige but I have a golden brown shade so it looks good with it. I bought the red ones first. I liked them but they didn't look very good on light wood. The quality suits me so far. Make sure you count your steps. I needed more so I had to buy 2 sets. I'm glad I did as I also had enough to do the front of the steps as well as the side steps leading to the landing. My dog usually goes upstairs because it leads to the kitchen. However, lately he's been using both as they show marks. My dad is older and stays with us a few nights a week and loves them too. He slipped down the stairs in his socks, he used to walk up and down more comfortably. I recently sprained my ankle badly which prompted me to finally buy carpet protectors. I'm glad I have steps as they make it much easier for me to get up and down stairs. The back is nice and stays in place for the most part. I bought double sided tape to stick to the steps but gave up. Sometimes they slip off when my dog comes down the steps or when my cats get into cat zumi and antics. I can foresee his heavy leg and stair climbing being a problem when my son gets home, although it can slow him down and move him at a normal pace. Also, some of the corners fold over at the edges of the corners and don't lay flat. I turned them over. I'm not sure if it helped put it down, but it looks better. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it. I have given 4 steps as lifestyle may require it to be fixed and the corner edge turned upside down a bit. I would still buy again if I needed more.
