folks, wish I had had this for my son before. I found these wonderful costumes for my second child and I love them. This is on my 8 month old daughter who wears 1t. I'd say they definitely fit a size up, but it's good that you can layer up. She wore this with a light jacket and pants underneath. It was a really windy 40 degree day and she fell asleep within minutes. She was so happy in it. I would highly recommend this costume to anyone looking to play outside. I will be getting one for my 3 year old and when my daughter grows up. Next, buy mittens
