Review on Race Ramps RR 30 Rally Ramp by Brian Buck

Nearly perfect!

These ramps are ALMOST perfect! I've never liked using "frame" or "hydraulic" jacks when working on a car. Honestly, the ONLY ONE thing I felt comfortable with was the LARGE "phone books" because you will NOT compress them in ANY WAY or they may fail, but the downside is you have to lift each page first to get them wheels to put underneath, and they're getting harder and harder to find. On the other hand, these ramps do exactly the same thing, except you don't have to "raise" the car. Light and strong like phone books, they can't fall on you; and you just drive towards them. I've searched and reviewed many ramps over the last year or so and finally found this one. However, they can be improved in two (2) ways: First, they can be "wider". I have a small Ford Escape SUV and they are "just" wide enough for my car's standard wheels. I would have liked a little more fault tolerance. It actually took me about three (3) tries to get them into position for me to feel comfortable using. And secondly, the "tire stop” at the end of the "ramp” should be higher. When "driving forward" it is extremely difficult to tell when one has actually reached the end of the ramp and is at "stop"; So be careful! A little more and"VAZ M"! You just drove off the bottom of the ramp and dropped your car on the ground! Need a bit more design and these would be perfect boarding ramps!
