Review on Enhanced Door Entry Guard Kit for 76-95 Jeep CJ/Wrangler YJ by Rugged Ridge 11216.02 by Paul Weakland
Not quite YJ suitable for door guard
I researched both the Rugged Ridge website and the Revain website to see if Entry Guard 11216.02 would fit a 1992 Jeep YJ Wrangler S and then ordered the part through a Revain dealer. Upon receipt of the box, the Rugged Ridge product even says "76-95 Jeep CJ & Wrangler", but this product is 1/4 inch wider than the horizontal plane of the door sill, which poses a hazard when leaking from shoes/shoelaces. Evidence of a poor fit more than I can tell. I will look for another manufacturer that doesn't sell a universal fit for the CJ and Wrangler AND whose design looks more like a cap (U-shape) than this product does as a cap plate.
