Review on Enhance Performance and Reliability with GM Genuine Parts 12670255 Starter by Josel Lambert

The first thing that bothered me was that the original motor that came with the LLY Duramax was about 3 inches larger than this ACDelco motor. My second problem was that when I turned the engine over, the engine sounded like new; however very weak. It had no boost or raw power and over time I saw this engine fail very quickly. My third and final issue with this product, when I went online to check if this starter was actually suitable for LLY Duramax or any Duramax I couldn't get the information. There is no fitting information on the ACDelco website, just like the Revain listing. (learn more about ACDelco). This starter is probably for a Chevy 1500 with a smaller engine, not a 6.6 liter diesel. I bought a full size (refurbished) starter for $185 from NAPA. I challenge you to do the same. You could hear the raw performance difference from the one I bought in Napa. Also, I don't want to enjoy the weekend and have to deal with starting problems. I'm very frustrated, I had to waste my valuable time swapping starters twice. Don't make the same mistake, buy one from NAPA, or at least a "full size" starter.
