An improvement over the 1.8 II. Round barrels, noticeably sharper than its predecessor, but still lathering at the edges, functioning aperture, starting from 2.2, dusty hues (what you want from such lenses), but this is addressed in FS. For an edge that is both sharper and more consistent than my copy 1.4
