Review on LeveLok Ladder Permanet Leveler LL STB 1AL by Stetson Olsen

The best leg extenders I've found!

I have three stair leveling systems and this is by far the best and easiest to use. My other two require you to bend down and use your hands to adjust the stretch you want. The Levelok system allows you to keep both hands on the ladder while using your leg to extend the leg you need to extend. To pull back, simply use your foot to let go of your foot. I just purchased a 32 foot Werner ladder and you must keep both hands on the ladder at all times when installing, so foot operated levers are a must. I am very satisfied with the Levelok system. Attaching the legs was a little tricky for me as I had to purchase an electric drill suitable for the 11/32" bit required. My 1/4 inch shank didn't fit. Get a bigger drill. Once I had the right tools , the next problem I had was the stencil. It's cardboard and they want you to place this flexible template on the side rail with the bottom rail between the two templates. I held the template and marked the holes, but the bottom rail weld was sticking out, causing the template to curve slightly over the weld. This got the marks slightly wrong to place the ladder extension mounting screws in the holes you drilled. Should be accurate. I found it easier to mark and drill one hole at a time. I then inserted the extension leg into that hole, making sure the mark I made for the second hole matched the actual mounting screws on the legs of the extension. Drilled the second hole, made sure both screws were sockets, and marked then the last hole. The first time I marked all three holes and drilled the pilot holes with a 1/8" drill bit as instructed. This is the safest way to do this as my third pilot hole was far away and I was able to adjust the flex of the jig when drilling with the final bit 11/32" To be on the safe side I would follow the instructions, who suggest doing pilot holes before drilling a giant 11/32" hole and realizing you made a small mistake trying to put that in. After climbing my 32 foot ladder I felt absolutely safe and secure at the top of the ladder as Levelok leveled my feet on my steep mountain property.
