Review on πŸ”‹ Flexible Magnetic Strip Length for Energy Optimization by Nick Cleary

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good flexible magnet, low-tack backing

First, note that flexible magnetic strips are some of the weakest magnets - only about 1/3 the mass of ceramic magnets. A flexible magnet is not designed to hold any significant weight, especially when the load (weight) could shear the magnet or detach it from the surface. The strength of this element is similar to the strength of the magnets in a refrigerator door seal. This works best when the load pulls the entire magnetic strip evenly perpendicular to the strip (like a fridge door). My use was to secure the edge of a curtain to reduce light leakage. Insert a strip into the screen's side cover. Attach the second bar to the wall. For this item works very well. However, the adhesive on the strip is bad.

Pros
  • Flexible magnetic strip at 10 pounds per linear foot
Cons
  • Very expensive
