Took some work but was worth it
The handle was rough and needed sanding which wasn't a big deal and it wasn't that sharp. On the plus side, it's made in America by Case Knife and is well worth the price. Just be ready to give it some love before you start using it. Also a good tip to make the pencil last longer is to apply a few coats of boiled linseed oil and as an extra measure I rubbed and melted the beeswax into the pencil with a hair dryer. The beeswax gives it a better hand feel and makes it more waterproof.
