Review on πŸ“Š Continuity Measurement Function by RockyMars Display by Ryan Person

Revainrating 3 out of 5

More testing needs to be done, but accuracy seems to be an issue. Constant Deviation 3-10 feet

This tester does more than I can test, but the first runs disappointed me. I appreciate the light at the end because cable rooms are often a dark mess with cables hidden and bundled, although they're best kept out of sight and out of sight, but the first tests I did extensively were pretty uncomfortable. ran a 6ft cable and the device kept telling me it was between 7.9ft and 9.9ft. Then I ran 25 feet of cable and it kept showing numbers like 27.9 and 29.9 feet. At one point he told me that a 25 foot cable is 34.9 feet long, so it looks like either the coding is the problem or it's not showing full feet. I always get something like point 9. Other tests ended up with a 50 foot cable reading 72.9 and 74.9 feet. The trace function seems to be working, but I still need to do some testing. I'm not very impressed even at the low price. It's constantly different from 3-10 feet and always gives me the same decimal ending.

Pros
  • Length Measurement: The TDR can measure the length of CAT5 and CAT6 cables and accurately determine the distance to the LAN cable. Measuring range 2.5-200 m.
Cons
  • Very expensive
