Ours have never worked consistently in a new motorhome. Pulled the original sail switch 3 times to clean it, thinking it was probably just dirty. Once it seemed important, but the other two times it didn't. Was replaced with this switch and has worked great EVERY time (all season) ever since. The factory design has a small flaw that fixes the bracket for this switch, so be sure to replace the factory bracket with the one that came with the switch.
