Review on 💿 High-Performance SEA TECH Aluminum External USB Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for Apple MacBook Air, Pro, iMac by Donotello Figueroa

I know this is a budget product but I purposely paid a bit more money for the one with the USB-C port because my laptop doesn't have a 2.0/3.0 port. The cable is for connecting a 3.0 cable to adapter C, but this adapter is useless! As seen in the diagram, the cable is split so the C cable and 3.0 cable work independently, but that's not the case! They are connected with a plastic wire and need to be connected to each other. The instructions state that you should not use a USB hub as this could cause power outages and it is recommended that you use the C and 3.0 connection at the same time to give the player enough power to run, especially if you a burn discount. As I installed port C doesn't work with it without 3.0 cable. So I MUST use my USB hub to even use it. When I try to play DVDs with it, the player works fine, but when I try to play BluRay, JUST PLAY, NOT WRITE, it doesn't even recognize the drive. That means it can't provide enough power even for the advertised performance. I will definitely be returning this product!
