.worth the money. This gear isn't of the Thule or Yakima class, but it doesn't cost as much as they do. Pros: It's cheap. That's probably all you need for short trips. It is made of thick square material. The holes line up and the tolerances are surprisingly tight, so rattling is negligible. It's heavier/tougher than it looks. The kit includes all the necessary parts, even a pair of open-end wrenches and a hex wrench for assembly. Directions are included and they are in English. Everything is well packaged and impossible to do at home in a garage for the same price even if you have supplies, screws, paint, tools and time. Cons: It's cheap. It's made of mild steel and you'll lose some paint during the assembly process, especially on the inner frame. These 2 things and some water will cause the inner and outer struts to bind. The resulting rust will permanently adhere to these parts, so make the proper adjustments before this happens. I don't see any stretchy straps or plastic parts that last long in the sun. Welds seem strong, ugly, but strong enough. It's heavier than it looks: so the on/off process won't be quick, as installation alone requires both hands and a strong back, and the receiver can be under the rear bumper. It is larger than it looks and the measurements are given in the description. Consider where you will place it and whether it will be installed permanently. Please note the weight limit. 80# means something can break at 81#, and your insurance company will be unhappy if your cluttered trunk cracks on the freeway. This is perfect for me now. I have miles of trails and trails here in town and I will only use them for 4 miles at 35 mph to the start of a trail or parking lot. I don't need Thule or Yakima for such a small vehicle. It's easy to slide it in or out of my Ranger's receiver and hide it in the garage until I need it again. I just didn't want to hoist the bike into the Ranger and buckle it up and then unbuckle it twice every time I wanted to ride. And I didn't want to spend more on a trunk than on a bike.
